VYAL

VYAL has been writing graffiti in Los Angeles since 1987. His aerosol work builds mystical patterns and movement that feel surreal, anchored by his trademark eye, a symbol drawn from his Chicano and Native American (Zuni) heritage. His vivid walls run through Los Angeles, Boston, New Mexico and Miami, and across Ireland, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. He has worked with Lexus and Red Bull, and shown at The Getty, MOCA and, more recently, the STRAAT museum in Amsterdam. He still paints actively, and gives back to his community in Los Angeles through art classes and workshops.

SPRAY IN PROGRESS: “JOKER” HAS VYAL’S NAME ON IT.
